Do you think its wrong if somebody recognizes their privilege and checks it but also enjoys the benefits of their privilege and uses it to the fullest extent they can? Ps I love your blog its a real kick in the pants and an eye opener <3

If you’re using your privilege to the fullest extent you can, you’re probably stepping on oppressed people and not doing a very good job of checking yourself.

That said, I don’t think it’s necessarily wrong to enjoy privilege.

Thanks! <3

i don't know if you ever read strawberry panic but it's 3 novels about these all girls boarding schools and it's one of the better known yuri things and it's really cute and if you liked utena maybe you'd like it? there's a couple problematic elements but it's still good

also if you do decide to look at strawberry panic read the books before watching the anime the anime is okay but the books are better

I’ve heard of it, but it doesn’t really interest me. It wasn’t really the homosexual romance aspect alone that made me love Utena so much. Thanks for suggesting it, though!

Today I wore a dress to school for the first time and as this one kid was talking to me he started stroaking my thight I remembered that one gif and poured my whole lemonade on his hand and arm, it felt so good :)

Haha, awesome. Hot coffee like in the gif would have been nicer, but lemonade will have to do.

hey uh sorry if this sounds stupid, but i have a question about body positivity/thin privilege. i know thin people dont really have a say in issues surrounding body negativity and fat shaming because of their privilege, but what if they've experienced an eating disorder? like, does someone that has/had an ED have a bit more say in conversations like that (especially people with bdd)?its just something that hits home with me because i had an ED and i usually get very invested in conversations

(continued) that surround body image because it still affects me a lot, and i’d like to know my place in a sense. im sorry if this sounds ignorant/annoying

Your voice on the topic of body positivity in general is fine, it’s when you get into fat acceptance and thin privilege that you need to check yourself.

What do you think of Rhianna's "Princess of China" stuff? Is that cultural appropriation too?

I got married to the most wonderful man in the world at age 20 after being a secretary for a year, he makes good money and we travel together we are strong conservative pro life Catholics and i DO believe it is a woman's job to take care or children,I do not believe in birth control and I have 5 of my own and more to come :) We live a 1950s esque life style (even the music and tv shows we watch) and everyone is happy... Now my feminist friend said this was sexist... Do you think so, and how?

Stop policing what other people do with their uteruses and what grows in them.

pissed rn because we gave persuasive speeches in english class and my teacher (a male) was like "if it makes you so upset, why didn't you bring it up earlier?" well MAYBE if he made the class an environment where i feel comfortable saying something he might disagree with and THEN he says "are you suggesting we cut out most historical books" and it's just like no you shithead i suggested we talk about the sexism in them did you stop listening when i hurt your little man ego. ugh sorry ranting

I understand, that sucks. :/

Could you explain how misandry doesn't exist? I know it doesn't but I need to know how to articulate my argument better.

Sexism = prejudice + power/privilege. Men have male privilege. We live in a patriarchal society. Aka, men can be sexist against women, but women cannot be sexist towards men. They can be discriminative and/or prejudiced, but not sexist.

Misogyny exists. Misandry does not.

Being prolife isn't an individual life choice I mean, it isn't really about your personal parenting skills. Not all prochoice people abort every pregnancy and there are ones who adopt and give birth. The problem is the attempt to control what someone does with their body in a politiical and social level. Like no prochoicer will come and stop her from giving birth, she still can do whatever she wants but prolifers are dictating people around

No dude deserves a cookie for supporting feminism, it's called human decency and if you want cookies for that it's your centuries of social privilege speaking
