but any white trans woman who wants to attend and challenge them, feel free.

Council of Europe tells 29 member countries coerced sterilization of transgender people is a major human rights abuse, urges action![]()
Twenty-nine countries in Europe are insisting transgender people are sterilized before their true gender is recognized in law.
That represents a major abuse of human rights and must stop, says a new report from the Council of Europe.
In many European countries, sterilization or sex reassignment surgery or both are a requirement for the country to legally recognize a transgender person in his or her new gender.
While gender reassignment surgery may incidentally cause someone to become sterile, some countries also insist on sterilization.
Richard Köhler, policy and capacity officer for Transgender Europe (TGEU) told Gay Star News: ‘Forced sterilization is a reality for a lot of trans people in a lot of countries. Trans people are the only group in Europe who are prescribed by law to go through sterilization.
‘The debates have shown conservatives are really afraid of the “pregnant man” so they want to insist on sterilization.’
While some people want full gender reassignment surgery, others recognize the operations are complicated and can be traumatic and either don’t want to complete that process or are not capable of doing so.
But by insisting on full sterilization before you can be legally registered with your true, new gender identity the rules at present deny people the right to decide what they do with their own bodies.
Gender
Be a trans* ally & help fight transphobia & cissexism
1. Use the term ‘cisgender’ when referring to non-trans* individuals, rather than transphobic words like “normal,” which imply that trans* individuals are abnormal, weird, ill, or broken.
2. Do not use transphobic slurs, such as “tra-ny” or “shemale.” These words are intended to insult and harm trans* individuals.
3. Always use the name any individual gives you. Do not ask someone what their “real” name is. (Their desired name is their real name.)
4. Always use the desired pronouns of an individual. If you are unsure which pronoun to use, politely and privately ask the individual what their preferred pronouns are.
5. Do not claim someone’s gender identity as false, nonexistent, immoral, or a result of an illness or trauma.
6. Do not ask questions regarding someone’s anatomy, or question if they have transitioned or will be transitioning in the future.
7. Do not ask to see the photographs of a person before they transitioned. Likewise, do not ask invasive, personal questions of a person regarding their life before they transitioned.
8. Never out a trans* individual to others. Likewise, do not ask others if “so-and-so is transgender.”
9. Do not assume an individual’s sexual orientation due to their trans* identity.

Five Ways Cis Feminists Can Help Build Trans Inclusivity And Intersectionality
- Be willing to confront instances of transphobia, cissexism, cisnormativity, cis-centrism, cis privilege and other forms of destructive bias where you find them (especially when you find them within feminist, activist or queer spaces), not through “call outs” or other toxic, self-defeating or abusive strategies, but by taking the opportunity for genuine discourse.
- Don’t take a purely passive, reactive approach. Rather than waiting for things like someone saying something overtly cissexist, or a trans person bringing up a particular concern, be willing to proactively introduce trans issues, or trans-relevant aspects of broader issues, to feminist discourse. Likewise, proactively treat possible consequences, perspectives and concerns relevant to trans people and trans experiences as being not only significant but essential to all feminist issues and conversations.
- Don’t assume any given issue is strictly, or even primarily, relevant to cis women. All feminist concerns are also transgender concerns, and vice versa. There are no feminist dialogues in which trans voices “don’t belong”, or to which trans voices have “nothing to add”. There are no social issues related to gender that don’t have consequences for trans people.
- Proactively seek out transgender voices, perspectives and input on all issues, not simply what you regard as “trans issues” or situations where the value of such perspectives is immediately obvious to you. Come to us, rather than waiting for us to come to you.
- Don’t treat the larger social conflict of gender as being dialectic or binary in nature. Don’t assume a unidirectional model of gender-based oppression.
These points are expanded on and explained more in the article. Please do read the full piece - it’s awesomesauce.

*yells* STOP CENTERING YOUR MISANDRY ON PENISES OH MY GOD????? IT INVALIDATES TRANS WOMEN, YOUR SISTERS, WHO SUFFER FROM THE PATRIARCHY JUST AS MUCH IF NOT MORE THAN YOU, AND NOT ONLY INVALIDATES TRANS MENS IDENTITIES, BUT LETS THEM CONTINUE TO GORGE THEMSELVES ON MALE PRIVILEGE AND FACE NO REPERCUSSIONS

Radscum are a particularly nasty breed of radical feminist (i.e., those that are scum.) There’s a common misconception that “radical feminism” just means … well, any feminism that is radical. However, it refers to a specific kind of feminism that, in my experience, is characterized by rampant transmisogyny and a fuckton of internalized misogyny.
(To be fair, I’m sure there exist some radical feminists that aren’t scum. I just … haven’t met any.)
Most, if not all (actually probably all) radscum identify with some form of the “Womyn Born Womyn” movement, also known as the “If You Don’t Have a Vagina I Will Never Give Any Shits About You Ever” movement. They actively attack, belittle, and oppress trans women, and treat trans men as disappointments at best, traitors at worst. In short, they are scum.
They also seem to believe that any woman who is not a radical feminist is not smart enough to make decisions for herself. Most of them are anti-pornography, anti-burlesque, anti-femme, anti-heterosexuality, anti- … okay, they’re just anti-women-claiming-their-sexuality. Interactions with radscum in this context usually go like this:
Me: *wears makeup/wears a dress/shaves legs/etc.*
Radscum: HEY! DON’T DO THAT! STOP THAT! YOU’RE SUPPORTING THE PATRIARCHY! YOU’RE COOPERATING WITH THE ENEMY!
Me: Uhm, actually, even though I understand that mainstream beauty standards originated from the patriarchy to oppress and sexualize women, I’m actually doing this as a femme reclamation and a refusal to allow them to dictate my appearance. Also, outside of a feminist context, I just really like how this looks and it makes me happy.
Radscum: NO! WRONG! YOU CAN’T DO THAT! IT WILL ALWAYS BELONG TO THE PATRIARCHY! YOU DON’T REALLY WANT THAT, YOU’RE BRAINWASHED!
So basically what they’re saying is that a woman cannot make her own choices because her opinion will never outweigh a man’s opinion (not using inclusive language here because I’m referring to THEIR bullshit definition of “woman”), and that female-presenting people can never reclaim anything because anything that we attempt to reclaim belongs to men and always will.
Which, uh. Doesn’t sound very feminist to me.
And for people who screech so much about how gender/sex divisions are harmful and evil, they seem very very very concerned with policing who’s a “REAL WOMYN!!!!!!!!” and who isn’t.
Anyway, I’m rambling. Long story short is that they are very very unpleasant people and I don’t like them.

For the love of god why the fuck isn’t this reblogged 100000 times but a dog with a water bowl in its mouth is come the fuck on people.
okay but this poster is really cissexist though because let’s not ignore the fact some men can get pregnant just like some women can’t; i get the sentiment but let’s not be transphobic about it, okay?

imo the “lesbians” who would date trans men but not trans women aren’t lesbians a much as they have a vagina fetish, which I think would be okay if they were honest about it

I don’t know if I’d say they have a vagina fetish, but. Kind of hard to call yourself a lesbian when men are included in your dating pool. I mean, occasionally a lesbian might find a dude that just fits (or a gay guy might find a girl) and that’s cool, but that’s another story.
Lesbians including trans men but not trans women in their dating pool is just plain cissexist. They aren’t viewing said trans men as men. They’re viewing them as women. And they’re viewing trans women as men. They’re invalidating both trans men and trans women’s gender identities.
Basically, they’re shitty as fuck people.

[TRIGGER WARNING FOR CISSEXISM]
They reblogged this picture and added a caption that said “this is a safe space for both sexes and all body types.”
Shortly afterward, they received an anonymous message:
It says “Before anyone gives you shit, you should probably change it to “all genders” instead of “both sexes.” Love this blog <3.”
To which FYBC replied: “Except that both sexes covers it. Thanks for following.”
When further questioned about their cissexism:
They were asked ““both sexes covers it.” So you don’t accept transsexual or intersex bodies or anything in between? Huh.”
FYBC replied: “As I have explained already to one person.
Sex and gender are not the same thing. Sex is biological, gender is social (predominantly). And intersexuality is not only so rare that it becomes insignificant for science purposes, but intersex people present female. Therefore, both sexes. Don’t get so worked up over something so insignificant, it’s the internet, man.”
Then, FYBC made another mistake. They’re on a roll, so why not, right?
They admitted that their blog is not meant to be intersectional, that they shouldn’t accept criticism because it’s technically a “personal blog” even though her personal blog is actually this one, she also calls people who don’t fit in the gender and sex binaries “abnormal” and follows up by saying that she’s willing to help anyone, even if they’re a “muppet,” which is clearly another way in which she is shaming and dehumanizing people who don’t fit in normative gender and sex binaries.
TL;DR The blog fuckyeahbodyconfidence and tumblr user ohh-elle are not safe spaces for trans* and intersex people.
I’ve never liked their blog because they don’t seem to be a safe space for fat people and they’re okay with promoting weight loss “progress” posts. They also have a really gross link to another tumblr on their sidebar for a blog called “gentlemen prefer curves” - as if anyone should give a fuck what men prefer when this blog is supposedly trying to instill confidence in people of all body types. These are just a few reasons to add them to a list of shitty blogs.
